M.I.C Testing
Microbiologically Influenced
Corrosion (M.I.C) refers to corrosion that is influenced
by the presence of three specific baterium. MIC
and Oxidative or General Corrosion can prevent a fire
sprinkler system from operating as designed and
installed. The aforementioned MIC and Oxidative or
General Corrosion can produce leaks and create
obstructions.
Both the National Fire Protection
Association (NFPA) Standard 13 and 25 latest editions,
require water supplies and environmental conditions to
be evaluated for the potential of microbiologically
influenced corrosion (MIC).
We offer a quick and inexpensive
MIC Water Test for your fire sprinkler system. The
MIC Water Test measures five (5) bateria types most
commonly associated with MIC. A comprehensive
report will include the explanation of the test results
as well as general recommendations for the remediation
process.
